All our natural white diamond jewelry containing a diamond 1.00 carat or larger will
automatically come with a GIA report. GIA is a trusted independent laboratory that grades diamonds and provide an unbiased color, clarity and cut grade.
Stones under 1.00 carat will generally not come with a GIA report. However, if you would like to order an accompanying GIA report, please let us know prior to placing your order.
We can provide a quote for the cost, along with an estimated timeline. GIA grading for white diamonds or colored stones typically takes between 3 to 6 weeks.
If we are sourcing a new stone for you, requesting a GIA or laboratory report will impact the finished price.
Most of our colored stones, grey and salt & pepper diamonds will not come with a
laboratory report. You can request an independent lab report prior to placing
your order by calling us at +1 (212) 398-2708 or emailing us at info@shopvale.com.
We also offer third party appraisals after a piece is made. Each one is available at a fee
and upon request.
We work with lab-grown diamonds upon request only.
While our collection is offered primarily in 14K and 18K, we also offer fabrication in a
range of other precious metal alloys including but not limited to 20K gold, 22K gold and platinum.
Our precious metal alloys are free from nickel and cadmium. For a special precious metal alloy request, please email us at info@shopvale.com or call us directly at +1 (212)

We work with a precious metal supplier that uses metals only from post-consumer materials. This includes metals recovered from jewelry, electronics and other industrial
sources.
Each Vale piece is made by hand by our small team of bench artisans and metalsmiths. Due to the handcrafted nature of our jewelry and our use of natural stones, there can be some minor variations in each piece. We think that these variations are what makes natural stones incredible.
In addition, one-of-a-kind rings featuring true antique stones cut during the Victorian and Georgian times can look different when photographed than they do in person.
However, we find stones come to life in a way that photos simply cannot replicate.
Our colored stones are typically backlit when photographed which means for certain types of colored stones, the lighting can make the stones look lighter than they will look in person.
If you have a specific color stone request, please email us at info@shopvale.com or call us at the showroom at +1 (212) 398-2708. Our showroom hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-6pm EST.
Each Vale piece is created by hand with the best possible materials and craftsmanship.
To ensure a lifetime of wear, we recommend the following best practices:
- Store each piece of jewelry separately when not in use to prevent scratching and
oxidization - Remove jewelry when using chemicals such as household cleaners or applying perfumes or lotions
- Do not wear jewelry in swimming pools or saunas as chlorine and extreme heat can
damage stones - Do not leave jewelry in direct sunlight or water
For easy, at-home jewelry cleaning, simply use a mixture of warm water and gentle dishwasher soap.
Ultrasonic cleaners should only be used on diamond and solid metal jewelry as those with plating or softer stones may risk damage.
